A few days ago, Magento announced they would be shutting down Magento Go and ProStores; two platforms built specifically for small businesses. Although these two platforms will remain active (for those who already have it) until February 2015, businesses currently using them should start the transfer process.

Right now, there are two things on my mind - celebrating and the holiday ecommerce season. For me, they go hand-in-hand, because I know that at the point I start talking celebration, it’s time to get holiday marketing in gear. I also grew up in a neighborhood where each July brought a Christmas block party complete with Santa, gifts, holiday lights, and turkey.
