Social media is becoming more and more important to eCommerce, which brings us to, you guessed it, social commerce.
Just think about how many billions of people are on social media every day – these are your customers! If they’re on social media, you should be too. Take a second to think about this – 71% of visitors are more likely to make a purchase if they were referred from social media.
That’s a statistic you can’t afford to ignore. That being said, here are a few ways you can dominate social commerce:
1. Implement the Facebook call-to-action button.
At the end of 2014, Facebook launched calls to action. If you have a Facebook page (not a profile), you can implement a call-to-action button that appears to the left of the “Like” button in the header of your page, just like so:
Your button does not have to say “Shop Now,” you have several options to choose from, like Contact Us, Play Game, Sign Up, etc. You simply match it to your business objective and link the button to wherever destination

Over the last several weeks, we have looked at how leadership grows and flourishes during a crisis. Many of the great D-Day leaders began their journey at the bottom. Douglas Adams once wrote that “Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. Pretty much anything you think of can be found out there on the internet.

On Saturday June 6, 2015, seventy-one years after D-Day, Wild Bill Guarnere’s casket flag was raised over the grounds of the Delaware County Veterans Memorial, the future home of the eight-foot-tall bronze statue created by sculptor, Chad Fisher. The statue is expected to be unveiled September 19th as a permanent part of the monument on West Chester Pike. A spokesman from the Delaware County Veterans Memorial said the statue will “eventually will be incorporated into the Garden of Prayers, which with the Hall of Prayers is the second phase of the memorial standing as a reminder of the service local members of the military have given to their country.”

Leaders With Good Instincts
In personal interviews with World War II veterans, I learned a valuable lesson that most certainly applies to the world of business. If you just leave soldiers alone on the battlefield, they take the initiative and listen to their gut. They become leaders.

Growing up in what now seems like the Stone-Age- I left my footprints in the mud, on the baseball field and occasionally, in neighbor’s garden. I talked to friends on a land line attached to wall by a curly cord and most of the games we played were played on boards. Fast forward to 2015 and this all feels like a distant memory. Today, we all leave our footprints on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Our cellphones are with us at every moment and we all have the latest game apps at our finger tips.

As an IRCE (Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition) attendee, I had the great experience of seeing Stephan Spencer, author of The Art of SEO, conduct live SEO reviews on sites to give tips on how to improve and follow best practices. From the short reviews of each site, I was able to compile a few tips and tools you can use to review your own site.
